From 31/12/08 to 5/1/09

k I'm just gonna skip one post and put this post between the posts about the prom if you will allow, which I will do anyways.

k So here is my small little room, which is godlike big for a college campus hostel and it feels more hotel-ly than any other room in the campus. There's 20 boys in here including me, and there's 1 teacher, Dr. Pew and the owner, Mr. Owen. This hostel place is called Acton Pigot and it used to be a farm that Mr. Owen owned, then converted and extended into a hostel.

The weather here is hostile and harsh, with nights going as low as -10 for tonight (yesterday was -7) and daytime still being cold. It snowed today though, imagine my surprise when I went to sleep yesterday with the pavement and dirt outside being brown, then wake up and go out and see it's pure white.

And the college. is. fucking. huge.

I mean, it's the length of 2.5 x of stadium putra bukit jalil and there's some room for a rugby field and a small football field. There's tennis courts, squash courts, swimming pool (frozen), then there's buildings here and there and the college campus summore. Acton Pigot is a few minutes walk from campus btw; it's outside of campus.

Lessons haven't started yet, but it'll start on wednesday, and wednesday is only half day. I'll probably spend some time in the nearby town of Shrewsbury to check out what's the place like.

and LoL most of the college ppl are Malaysians. Sure, you can find a few from hong kong and china, maybe one or two from korea and dubai. Most of them are Malaysians, and they come from penang to miri. Got a few kakilang from KL btw. And the girls here I say, look somewhat prettier than you guys punya back at KL. Maybe CBN quality.

Curfew's at 10pm now, but lol everyone else is playing dota LAN.

And before I came here on the 4th, I spent my time walking around the city of Brussels, Belgium and Paris, France. Brussels is a nice place, it's got food, sights, walks, history. The good food there is the belgian chocolate, waffles, and beer. Watch out though, they speak both dutch and french there, with the dutch on the northern side and the french on the south side, but brussels's main language is both. (Gaufres is Waffles btw, if you're going there and u smell something sweet from a stall with the word Gaufre there). The Manneken Pis is a small fountain there, that was crowded by a few hundred ppl in a small cramped street. I don't get why so many ppl would gather to see a fountain of a small little naked boy peeing.

Paris on the other hand, is romantic.

Everywhere u go, there would be at least a couple kissing somewhere, or 2 couples walking down the street holding hands. But, that place was worth it, IT IS ABSOLUTELY beautiful. And it was fucking cold for the entire time I spent walking outside along Champ Elysees. That street was beautiful too. The Eiffel Tower is gigantic, the Lourve is historic, Bastille is tall, Notre Dame is gargoyle-ly, and the Mona Lisa is small. I was somewhat expecting it to be bigger. Don't get what's so enchanting about that small portrait anyways.

After those days, I came back to here in jolly old britain.

K don't wanna waste anymore time writing tis. Time is precious here. And I can use some of it to hone my maggi cooking skillz. Apparently I'm the only one here who has been able to bring in maggi from outside the country. It's illegal, or so my campusmates tell me.

here's a little treat for you guys. It's the pic from whence they took at my BBQ and the pic they koot at yau's farewellparty/xmasparty before i left.

K now i'm off, ciaoz.

P.S. I'm feeling somewhat sad now. My college timetable only allows me to be free after 8 when I come back from campus. In campus I don't think I can get a comp there LoL. So during my 8pm it's your 4am. Kinda depressing really, It's 10.30pm on my side, and your side is 6.30 am.

When I'm asleep, you're all awake, When I'm awake, you're all asleep. When I'm free, you're all asleep now.

Oh cruel fate, why hast thou changeth time to be gmt+8

Bonne Annee btw ppl. I'm gonna miss CNY but I'll celebrate with the kakilang here using maggi instead of CNY food.

It's time for HB!!

First time I post here, so without any further ramblings, I shall get straight to the point.

YJ's house was fun, and it was like the post below explained.

The room was squishy and compressed and we had to sleep on whatsoever few floorspace left for us to sleep on. I slept near the door, next to edward. I woke up in the morning with my head facing Edward's ass.

No, it does not smell nice. No, I did not sniff his ass out either. It was so cold then that my nose was clogged. No, I did not intend to smell his ass.

Anyhow, one way or another, we got up around 8 or so if I remember correctly. Then we all who overnighted went for a nice breakfast of pan mee + sui kao courtesy of YJ's parents. It tasted good, probably coz I was hungry due to staying up too late.

Anyways, I'm not gonna elaborate into prom night yet. It's 4.33am now and I'm feeling tired. So I'll end this post with a short spam and some sneak preview into prom.

I came to prince hotel at 6.30, no one was here yet. I saw Audrey [Ser] in there with another guy, and she said I wasn't allowed there. So I went out and sit in the couch there. Then I saw Sonia and CH pass by and I greeted them with the solemn reply of mine.

Soon after an hour passed, the whole bunch of form 5 who bought tickets are mostly here. Our class is here already anyways. The most stunning and unexpected prom dresses in my view would be the dress of Yee Jean and Sow Yeng.

The most beautiful dress would be of course, Sonia's, for that elegant yet beautiful simplicity.

The most scary dresses would be none of course, but there are ppl who would certainly qualify for the title of Scariest Person award. A girl or two, and probably a guy/girl. Maybe even a dog.

For full detail, pls subscribe to our next installment of the currently zero award winning series on the series of events after SPM: Prom Night [No, not the horror movie]

the Campfire

2 days after the day High School War (in case you have no idea what it is, it is SPM which has ended on the 27th Dec for the pure science stream students), majority of us gathered at Yee Jean's house. It was her brother's birthday but that was not the main point. It was a gathering for the classmates. Unfortunately, the little chubby birthday boy was sick. Majority of the presence there were either elder people or children. No people of our age range -teenager. We were so bored and had nothing to do till we started playing musical chairs. The kids then came in and fought for the chairs. "Wee wang wang~ Wee wang wang~", the kids mumbled. Surprisingly, the boys were less active than usual.

By mean of tidiness and simpleness, the following story will be written in schedule form;

4.00pm-8.30pm : Guests start to pour in and people are increasing gradually

8.30pm-10.30pm : Everyone starts to feast. It's a buffet and so it is self-service. Ahh, Lilian has her period cramp.

Fast forward to 1.30am, which was 30.11.2008, we celebrated Lilian's birthday! Originally, we planned to work with Yee Jean's mom. Due to the period cramp, we had a change of plan and only wished her Happy Birthday while Lilian was in bed. Well, how often you can have cake in bed instead of breakfast in bed?

At 2.30am, the Sonia, Hui Sin, Edward, Chia Hoong, Haow Bin Yee Jean, Yip Siong and I went to McDonald, which is quite near to Yee Jean's house -just down the hill.

After McDonald, we went back to Yee Jean's home and continue chatting until the wee hours of the morning -around 5 in the morning. As all of us slept in Yee Jean's room, together with her second sister, we had to put all the bags in the toilet to gain optimum space for the sleeping logs. There are also some funny moments. Will elaborate in the next few posts.

And with that, I end the story at Yee Jean's home.

He is one of our classmates.
He is one of our friends.
He is one of our dudes.
He is one of our guys.

Wong Zhe Yi is one of the greatest guy I ever met in my life. He is not only great, he is awesome, handsome, and many, many more that I couldn't mention but, he is a very, very wonderful friend.

On the 25th of November 2008, he took a step ahead of us and went to a happier, more peaceful place. He will be love by God.

I would like to express my deepest condolences to Zhe Yi's family. He is truly a great guy.

To all his friends, dudes, relatives and family, the suffering he experienced has finally ended. Lets give him a peaceful journey to heaven. Amen.

May we not lose touch

Kanashii.. Hontoni kanashii.. It was the atmosphere of the day. The day when one of our greatest teacher, who had left us.

The Additional Mathematics teacher, Ms. Lim Li Ping has left us on 15.072008. This post is dedicated to our dearest teacher, the times we had together and party held with her, together.

Since 2007, she had slowly guided us through the first chapter, Functions. She would use various examples to teach us. A year and a half later, she left us.

From a selfish student point of view, I wouldn't want her to go but if when we finally know what is best for her, we just have to wish her good luck and bid her farewell..

All the best, Ping Jie!!!!!!

The farewell party post will come on another day.. so, do bear with us.

Biggest Logo Formation Made of Recyclable Materials

As usual, I woke up late and brushed my teeth, got everything prepared and left the house. While on my way, I slept well in the vehicle. I should be there by 7a.m.. But well.. Who cares!

12th July 2008, the day when the 4-Stars Project started and also ended, on the same day. The project was a success. Cheers!

The project was an idea by the Key Club, and it came to reality with the help of the other 3 clubs. In the school hall of Sri Garden, Dewan Tan Sri Dato’ Loy Hean Heong, a total students of 60 participants from the Key Club, Interact Club, Multimedia Club and Young Entrepreneur’s Club, started by assembling materials for the breaking of the record, ‘Biggest Logo Formation made of Recyclable Materials’, endorsed by the Malaysia Book of Records (MBR).

The students are not enthusiastic in everything they do. I can’t see the enthusiasm in them. I want to encourage all of you here to participate more and win more medals for the school. Actually, you don’t help the school but yourself!” Mr. Khaw said.

Our school theme this year is somewhat related to the environment. Therefore, we aim to do this project and break the record of the national biggest logo made, and what more, to increase awareness on environmental issues, especially deforestation. Not to left out, to be enthusiastic too.

With a grand total of 60 members, the entire process took us 7 hours, which is from 9.00a.m. to 4.00p.m.. The VIP of the day was Tan Sri Dato’ Lee Lam Thye, who was here as the witness of on behalf of Malaysia Book of Records.

In fact, this event took few days for discussion. And then, after making sure that the school and Malaysia Book of Records approved our idea, it took around 2 months to collect the required materials. We started to collect at the end of May until the beginning of July, where we were still in constant anxiety as we feared that we will not have enough materials for the logo. By July, we finalized all the finer details such as publicity to the parents, the confirmation of the attendance of various press and media and the attendance of the VIP(s).

It was really a great challenge to the organising committee with the sudden rejection of the first idea by MBR, the materials that we need and from some other unmentionable aspects. Nevertheless, when 12 July came, we all were pumped with adrenaline and excitement.

Way Back Into Love

This post is dedicated to Chia Hoong and Lilian as the spotlights are on them. Well, not to left out ‘keh leh fehs’.. They are included in this post as well.

We shall start off with audition. On the 3rd July 2008, Chia Hoong and Lilian sang 'Way Back into Love'. Coincidentally, there was another pair who had chosen the same song. Personally, I find their voice kind of match and was much better than the other pair.

Woooooooooo!!!~~ It was then announced that they will enter the finals with the other 3 pairs. Amazingly, Chia Hoong worked really hard and started practicing after school, even harder for the big day.

And well, the day finally came!

After few solos and pairs, Chia Hoong and Lilian came up to the stage. We cheered out loud and shouted out of our lungs to support them.

The whole event was a success, fortunately. You may not know why I use the word, but I have my own reasons! If the contestants did not take it for granted, they may perform even better.

That is not all, but due to the constraint of time, we leave it for the time being....
