Fly Away

Miss Mabil Pereira is one of our numerous English teacher in Sri Garden and she has left us for her family. Although her lesson is pretty much philosophical in nature, she is quite a nice person after all.

Before she could bid us farewell, we celebrated the day with her. Needless to say, we sang Auld Lang Syne together. As it was an impromptu decision, we just sang by reading the lyrics. Confetti on that day were in the forms of shredded paper and we had lots of fun throwing it around to Miss Mabil.

Later, we presented her with a cake and we had her cut the cake.

And then, the friendlier ones among us took some photo with her as a memory.

Boy, what a fun day it was!!!!!

What a day...

On the 29th of February, we participated in the cross country or also known as 'road race'.. Jowena insisted to be a student helper as more of them are needed on that day.

Everyone's starting point is at the school and they have to follow the route that was marked where there are two checkpoints along the run. Everyone started off with fully energized spirit and acceleration but as they reaching back to the school, it seems that everyone bathe in sweat and some are even on the verge of fainting.

But the best news are that some of us managed to get an award, and those are chunchun, lilian and puishing! Apparently, today is a free and easy day for teachers were always corrupted with laziness.

Some photos taken after the day

Peace~

Owari Ja-nai!!!!

What is THIS ?!

HAMSAP UNIT dear readers must surely be wondering about this. But as the title says, it is NOT the END!

On Monday night, which is on the 25th of Feb., certain Malaysian members of the HAMSAP UNIT went to the KLIA to bid goodbye to the Japanese members of HAMSAP UNIT once again. Malaysian members that arrived wanted to give them a surprise while shouting 'Hamsap! Hamsap! Hamsap!'. Of course, certainly there are some that did not abide by the plan but all the same, we did gave the Japanese members a surprise!

Laughters and tears once again flow freely as we communicated with each other, trying to convey our innermost feeling to the other party. Courtesy of Sonia, she printed out photo - postcards and gave to each of our Japanese counterpart one each.

As they enter the boarding gate, we frantically tried to gain the last glimpse of the Japanese again. Everyone constantly knock at the glass window, trying to attract their attention from beneath.

With this, I really conclude the epilogue of HAMSAP UNIT. And once again, it is NOT the END.
Now, the greatest of hope of every HAMSAP UNIT members is to meet up again one day and have our enormous fun again. Of course, preferably in Japan.

Following up are the pictures taken in KLIA

Ja-neh !!!!

On 24th Feb., Sunday, at 3.00pm, all hosts and fosters assembled at the school hall. Then, speeches followed and there are a variety of cultural performances from both Malaysian and Japanese. By keenly observing and watching, it is noticeable that the Japanese performances showed practices and have a streak of discipline in it too.

As the events are drawing to an end, Mr. Akira Suzue announced that he is going to resign from his post as the Principal of Hokuryo High School. With all our heart, we sang Auld Lang Syne and Malaysia Truly Asia. It was a very memorable piece of time. Some people started to wave their arms and sang at the top of their lungs. The atmosphere rise up. We enjoyed. We hugged. And, we cried.

Following up at the courtyard, HAMSAP UNIT had another group photo and constantly shouted 'Hamsap! Hamsap! Hamsap! Hamsap!'. It is really a sight to behold seeing everyone so happy. But of course, in the midst of laughters, there surely be tears. Some were crying. Not long after that, the Japanese had to board the bus as they had to go sight-seeing, again. The Malaysian hosts were actually quite reluctant to let their fosters to leave.

Some of the photos that were taken:-

A new day awaits....

Well, not long after the sleeping photo session at about 8 in the morning, many people awaken and started to clean themselves up and do the usual thing. Edward's mother prepared a lot of Chinese food like pork bun, tarts and so on. The Japanese were served first before the Malaysians.

Basically, we were having our breakfast while waiting for the arrival of the teachers. After the delicate cuisine, most of the people lazed around and few of them were playing cards. As the teachers arrived, another photography session took place (seems to be a lot of it). Atsumi-chan and Hiromi-chan were jumping on the sofa shouting 'Papa! Papa!' to one of the sensei. Apparently, he is their class teacher.

We brought our foster out for sightseeing as soon as the teachers left. We took Star-LRT to our destination. Our first stop is at Masjid Jamek. Then, we walked to Central Market which took quite a while. Initially, everyone was together but later, it turns out that it could be quite time-consuming. So everyone went on their ways in Central Market and agreed to meet up at the designated area at around 2.00pm. Central Market proves to be a very cultural place but the best part is where the kuih bahulu shop which is near the entrance. It started with Mei Ni buying the kuih. Then, thinking that some of the Japanese might be hungry by now, Jowena bought more of it. Thus, we, Malaysians and Japanese alike ate kuih bahulu.

Following up was a trip to Time Square. Gasoline became the spot for lunch and HAMSAP UNIT took the biggest, longest table available. It was quite a cool scene. As everyone ate, the captain of the HAMSAP UNIT noticed something quite peculiar about the jeans the waitress of Gasoline wore. Soon, the boys, and even girls, started to look at the waitress’s hips!

When everyone had their meal, it is time to choose whether to shop or to stop for a fishy feet massage. Time Square soon became the spot for the shoppers while those who want to go for a fishy feet massage walked to Pavilion. This is the point where everyone separates into two groups, according to their liking.

As it goes....

....start taking photos again. And next, it’s leisure time. So basically, everyone gather at Edward's house. Everyone started to take photos as the suggestion was posted among the crowd. A lot of us were tired and sleepy as late midnight breaks in.

Some of us who might be the hyperactive lot sat by the pool and soak our leg. Apparently, the water in the pool is considered cold by the fosters as most of them only soaked their toes. By luck and sheer monstrous power, I got dunked by Mei Ni into the freezing cold pool. I swam in the pool and attacked the one who dared me.

After the wet fun, everyone again gathered in the living room. Some of them went to sleep while I walked around to snap some pictures. I stopped by at Edward's room and saw..

Hui Jian picking his guitar

Takuya 'gayly' admiring him with dreamy eyes

The ever-attentive listener, Yee Jean

And finally, a grinning Alvin

Following up was a lot of chit-chats, funny talks and jokes. The ‘bad eggs’ of Malaysia tried to prevent people from closing their eyes.

In the living room, it is a true relaxation heaven as some played games, some played cards and some even had snacks. Wonderful life, isn't it? Further to the night, everyone started to sleep.

The next morning, perhaps I was lucky enough to wake up early, so I crept over the house taking photos of sleeping HU members.

Do not cry out when you see your photo!
